You can deposit cash into your account, but it is not recommended, regardless of whether you are using a personal account or an autónomo business account.
At the end of the year, the bank provides information about account activity to the Spanish Tax Agency (AEAT). If there is a significant discrepancy between your declared income and the actual funds received into the account, it may raise red flags with the tax authorities.
It’s also important to note that cash transactions over €1,000 (related to business activity) are prohibited under Spanish law.
Always issue a proper invoice if the funds are related to business income.
If the funds are not linked to your professional activity, the tax authorities may treat them as undeclared income in the event of an audit.
